Even today it is the Minho Land of conquests, adventures and pleasures, with an unparalleled eagerness to maintain a characteristic of a territory always desired by so many peoples who, before nationality and coming from various points, settled here.

Built by men, they complement the natural defenses of a region surrounded by the blue of the extensive sea, powerful rivers and calm reservoirs, between towering rugged mountains: the Peneda, Soajo and Gerês mountains.
